Artist Research – Keiichi Matsuda

I found Matsuda’s style very visually pleasing, the way he incorporates illustration into real world videos and animates them. This sets a very stylistic tone for his work. I tried to recreate this in my work my creating creatures in illustrator and editing them into real world videos (and pictures for my style frames)

“Keiichi Matsuda  is a designer and film-maker. His research examines the implications of emerging technologies for human perception and the built environment. Keiichi is interested in the dissolving boundaries between virtual and physical, working with video, architecture and interactive media to propose new perspectives on the city. He has exhibited his work internationally, from London’s V&A Museum to the Art Institute of Chicago, the New York MoMA, and Shanghai EXPO. He has been published extensively in print and online, and has won awards for design, drawing, speaking and filmmaking”

“We are a future-facing design studio, working at the intersection of technology, media and architecture. Work to date has included concept design consultancy, UX/UI, interior and retail design, and sculpture/installation. For commissions and enquiries, please find our contact details below. ”
